We are raising money to complete Omitide office building located at Sajowa Camp, Imafon/Igbatoro Road, Akure, Ondo State, in Nigeria for maximum utility. Completing the building will help us to have the following: 1. A training space that can contain more beneficiaries. 2. A space that can completely shield us from the sun and the rain. 3. An official working space. 4. A place of contact for our organization. 5. A place where we can train and model what we teach. 6. A place that will make us closer to our beneficiaries and increase our impact in the community. 7. Something that can serve all the mentioned purposes and still secure the land.
In October 2024, we started operating on our four plots of land at Sajowa Camp, Imafon/Igbatoro Road, Akure, Ondo State, in Nigeria. We needed a space for our rainwater harvesting training for 150 farmers in a batch of 50 farmers, so we got funded to construct a shed. We later saw the need to secure the land, the cash crops, and to prevent trespassers from encroaching so we fundraised to fence the property and purchased the materials needed. During the training, the shed couldn’t contain all our beneficiaries. Even while working on the farm, the shed shielded us from the sun but not completely from the rain. Hence, there was a need for: 1. 7. Something that can serve all the mentioned purposes and still secure the land even though it might not completely prevent trespassers. So the need for an office building came to mind and we started the building on the 28th of April 2025 with the materials initially meant for the fencing. The building has been roofed with external doors and window burglaries fixed but needs to be completed for maximum utility.
The funds raised will directly be used to purchase and install the things needed to complete the building for maximum utility, which are: 1. Internal, and external wall plastering, and fixing of the windows. Materials needed; a. 57 bags of cement @ #12,000 = #684,000 b. 1 Load of sharp sand = #200,000 c. 26 Mason @ #16,000 = #416,000 2. Inspection Chamber = #50,000 3. Fixing of ceilings = #700,000 4. Walls, and Floor Tiling = #1,500,000 5. Installation of electrical cables and fittings = #600,000 6. Installation of sanitary wares for the two toilets and washrooms = #500,000 7. Fixing of external plumbing pipes and fittings = #115,000 8. Waste water drainage 9. Fencing of the property 10. Security house. 11. Internal doors. 12. Rainwater harvesting system. 13. Water Recycling system. 14. Landscaping 15. Painting. This will enable us to have a completed building with: 1. A training space that can contain more beneficiaries. 2. A space that can completely shield us from the sun and the rain while working on the farm or in the office. 3. An official working space. 4. A place of contact for our organization. 5. A place where we can train and model what we teach. 6. A place that will make us closer to our beneficiaries and increase our impact in the community by providing water for nearby farmers and community members. 7. Secure our property, improve our operations, and help us to reach more communities.
