It's not uncommon to see young Nigerian and even Ghanaian children traipsing the streets, hawking everything they can find available to hawk just after primary school. This, although sad, is as a result of their parents' inability to afford the fees to a secondary school, and even if they are able to put them in Public or Community secondary schools, these children are often deprived of the basic amenities that makse for the educational development of a well rounded child.
Others who are not so fortunate to be sent to a Public Secondary school albiet Substandard are being forced into servitude. They serve as errand boys for Mechanics, Carpenters, Vulcanisers, Spare part dealers etc.
While still others having little or nothing to do and end up moving from one odd job to the other until they end up constituting the growing number of traffic jam sellers, hoodlums, political thugs, to name but a few.
At Grow Africa Through Education, we are on a mission to help the African child (First phase is Nigeria and Ghana) attend a quality secondary school thus affording them the opportunity to a well rounded education from basic 7(JSS1) to Basic 12 (SS3).
We're currently raising funds in the sum of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000) to help sponsor Thirteen (13) children in Nigeria and Ghana to Secondary school.
Please Support our cause and help us help the African Child, because together we can all make a difference and work towards making Nigeria great!
