What are you raising money for?

In 2020 the Abakpa main market, Abakaliki, Ebonyi state was relocated to a new site and every trader in the market lost their shops including myself. We were all asked to buy news shop at the new market. The state government gave us a plan of 3 years to pay up the money which is N4,200,000. To pay 50 percent of the money in the first year, 25 percent in the second year and the remaining 25% in the third year. I was able to pay the 50% in the first year (December 2020. The payment for shop was made in my father's name; Mr Omah Cletus) after coming to an agreement with my suppliers that i would be supplied goods on credit then sell them and send back money to them. In the long-run, my major supplier stopped supplying me goods and demanded that i pay before supply which really cripple my business turn overs as i didn't have enough goods. Business has been slow and i can't get back the money i have already deposited for the shop in 2020 (N2,150,000 in which N50,000 is for purchase form) and I'm currently left with N800,000 as i have been able to raise N1,300,000 and currently running out of time as those who are not able to complete payment before the seating governor leaves might lose both theirs shops and the part payment made for the shop. I'm seeking financial donations so i don't lose both my shop and the initial payment.

Why are you raising the funds?

To complete the payment for the shop which i have made a non-refundable half payment of NGN2.1million for, as defaulters would lose both their shops and the money paid initially. Presently i can't go to the bank for a loan because they keep telling me i need to build my credit, plus i can't use the use because it was bought in my father name. The reason why the shop is in my father's name instead of mine is because that very NGN2,100,000 is money i set aside and gave to him to hold for me just incase of emergencies. So when i wanted to payment for the shop the transfer was done from his account, little did i know that it's the name on the depositing account that would be put unto the receipt issued.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

Purchasing and completion of the payment for the shop. This very shop is all i have a hold on currently, it's presently the only source of livelihood i have.
