To alleviate period poverty among school girls from low-income homes. Giving girls access to the right menstrual materials will make them stay in school and have a brighter future. According to a United Nations estimate, 1 in 10 girls absent themselves from school during menstruation. This means they fall behind in their studies and often drop out of school. All funds raised will be used to provide materials and equipment needed, train girls on how to make their own reusable pads, and also give them reusable pads. They will also be taught menstrual hygiene management and how to care for their reusable pads.
To provide menstruating girls from low-income homes access to the right menstrual materials. We will be giving them reusable pads and training them on how to make their own reusable pads. This is important because it helps reduce school absenteeism by girls during menstruation. Reusable pads are kind to the environment; they reduce plastic waste because they are washable, reusable, and sustainable. It is also cost-effective because it will be reused rather than discarded after use. Girls don´t need to worry about buying disposable pads monthly anymore. It is also durable. With proper maintenance, it can last up to 5 years.
The fund will help reduce period poverty among underprivileged girls. The girls will be able to make their own reusable pads that can last up to 5 years. The reusable pads given to them will keep girls in school, and they will share their new found knowledge of making reusable pads with their friends and family, which is a ripple effect. The fund will help reduce period poverty among underprivileged girls. The girls will be able to make their own reusable pads that can last up to 5 years. The reusable pads given to them will keep girls in school.
