Mobile Dental Camp Clinic

This year the Dentalcare Foundation hopes to successfully treat over 1250 children across ten days of outreach in the rural part of Ekiti State.

Dental resources are very rare in these developing areas. There's an inadequate gap in oral healthcare in the rural areas of Nigeria. This outreach program gives people a chance to improve their overall health, as oral diseases like gum disease can lead to serious systemic infections.

Your funding will provide much-needed support for us to treat children with a wide range of Dental issues. We will provide free Dental screening, cleanings, extractions, restorations, and Fluoridation treatment. The money covers the essential costs of the dental treatments; the materials, instruments, equipment, and resources necessary to carry out effective dental treatment.

We will also be collaborating with Ztwist designs to distribute free textiles that showcase oral health messages in these communities.

The primary benefit of this project will be families living in rural areas and also the local health workforce who will be trained on how to create more awareness of oral health. This has both short and long term benefit, as it will tackle their current oral health burdens and also integrate rural dwellers into existing social and health care systems through referral.

Our work is much needed to bridge the gap to access proper dental care and to promote overall health in children living in rural areas. Donations of oral health products, financial contributions and/or volunteering your time are the three components which will assist in making our foundation grow, enabling us to reach a greater proportion of the population to provide vital oral health services.
