What are you raising money for?

My name is Divine Stephen Okonkwo. I am a young graduate radiographer from Nigeria with a strong passion for learning, technology, and healthcare. I am raising funds to purchase a laptop that will support both my professional growth as a radiographer and my journey into technology. At the moment, I do almost everything with my mobile phone. I use it to study, attend online trainings, read research materials, learn coding, and explore Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. While I am grateful to have a phone, it has many limitations. Reading large documents, analyzing data, writing reports, learning programming, and carrying out research projects are difficult and frustrating on a small screen. Many learning opportunities require a laptop, and I often struggle to participate fully because I do not have one. As a healthcare professional, I want to continue developing my knowledge and skills. I also want to build valuable technology skills that can help me contribute more to society and create better opportunities for myself in the future. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to purchase a reliable laptop that will allow me to learn, work, research, and grow without the limitations I currently face. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring me closer to this goal.

Why are you raising the funds?

I am raising these funds because I currently do not have a laptop, and it has become one of the biggest challenges in my learning journey. For a long time, I have relied entirely on my phone for studying, coding, online courses, research, and other educational activities. Although I try my best to make it work, it is often frustrating and limiting. Tasks that should take minutes can take much longer on a phone, and some opportunities are difficult to access without a computer. As a graduate radiographer, continuous learning is important. Healthcare is constantly evolving, and research plays a major role in improving patient care. I also have a growing interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and coding because I believe technology can help solve many problems in healthcare and society. Despite the challenges, I have continued learning and pushing myself forward. However, there is only little I can do with a phone. A laptop would give me access to better learning tools, allow me to practice technical skills properly, and help me become more productive. I am not asking for luxury. I am simply asking for a tool that will help me learn, grow, and create opportunities for myself. Your support will help remove a major barrier standing between me and my goals.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The funds raised will help me purchase a laptop that will become an important tool for my education, career development, and personal growth. With a laptop, I will be able to learn coding more effectively and continue my studies in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
