Annual campaign to mobilise resources (financial and material) to support less privileged ...
My name is Susan and I’m 24 years old. I am from Nigeria. After mentioning all the professional careers in the world when asked what I wanted to be in the future, I finally decided I wanted to be a professional accountant, following my mum and two of my aunties who were in the field.
As we know, it takes a lot of hard work and finance to have a solid career in any field.
I successfully completed my degree in accounting and finance and was looking forward to getting a fit role to begin my career. While looking for a job, I realized about 70% of the jobs I applied for required I have knowledge and skills in information systems and data analysis which is a huge advantage in being picked for the role. Gradually, every field will be influenced by Information technology and the methods of doing things will be transformed completely, as we see in accounting, which is why I decided to do a master’s degree in Information Systems and Business Analysis.
I’ve successfully gotten an offer to study the course in the UK, starting in January 2021. The offer also comes with an internship for one year after studying. The study and internship would really boost my confidence while searching for a suitable role because they give me the added advantage I need.
When I complete this course and gain practical experience, I plan to start up a company or a line service that would help small businesses and entrepreneurs handle and improve their accounting system, especially black businesses. I've realised that mismanagement of finances is one problem and i'm dedicated to make a difference in the black economy.
The accounting system of any business is crucial as managing finances will allow better business decisions to be made.
The Tuition fee is currently £16,650. I got a £3,500 scholarship from the Institution because I demonstrated academic excellence from my previous studies. This leaves me with £13,150 for the tuition fee. I also need to have £9,207 for my living expenses in my account before I travel. This is a strict requirement by the UK government before I can be issued a visa, this is to ensure I can take care of myself when I get to the UK.
I have been able to save some money towards the tuition and living expenses, but I haven’t reached the full amount yet and this is where I need your help. I'd sincerely appreciate the littlest amount you have to give. Thank you so much for your help.
