According to the United Nations, One out of every out-of-school child is in Africa. Statistics have shown that this is affecting the economy and growth of the continent. For us at Children Empowerment Fund, we understand that it is not just enough to get children to school, it is also important to invest in their well-being. In doing this, we also provide basic instructional materials such as notebooks, writing materials, uniform supplies, and daily meals to students. This is in line with the SDG 4 Goal. Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. We are committed to ensuring that no child is left without access to quality education regardless of his or her background in life.
We are raising the funds to empower both the girl and boy child towards sustainable education. This is why we started the Back 2 School Campaign by the Children Empowerment Fund as an opportunity to provide scholarships towards ensuring African children in underserved communities of school age are not denied the chance of a good and quality education. We also believe in ease for children when it comes to learning during school hours. This implies that Children need a conducive learning environment and no child should be left out of this opportunity. If we had more people donate to this cause, we are certain our goal will be attainable within a short period of time.
A lot of kids do not have access to basic amenities as a result of their family background. We believe through this fundraising we can change the narrative and give them a voice in their generation. The funds raised will help us reach the children who have missed classes due to lack of access to educational materials, inability to afford school fees, and a conducive learning environment within the four walls of a school. Our target is to have at least 112 Children for the commencement of the new 2024/2025 session back to school instead of the street. This is to avoid all forms of miscreants.
