What are you raising money for?

Our initiative is dedicated to supporting children in underserved rural communities by providing essential school supplies that encourage learning and academic confidence. Through our Backpack Charity Campaign, we distribute school bags filled with exercise books, pencils, pens, erasers, coloring materials, and other educational tools to children who lack access to basic learning resources. Since its inception, this initiative has focused on reaching vulnerable children across rural areas of Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Benue States, and parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Many of these children face significant barriers to education due to poverty and limited access to school materials. By equipping them with the supplies they need, we aim to reduce these challenges, inspire enthusiasm for learning, and create a more enjoyable and engaging educational experience. In 2026, we will host the 3rd Edition of the Backpack Charity Campaign, marking another important milestone in our mission to expand educational support and deepen community impact. Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s campaign aims to reach an even larger number of children and strengthen our long-term commitment to educational empowerment. With the generous support of partners, donors, and volunteers, we are confident in our goal of distributing between 500 backpacks to children across the targeted regions. Beyond providing materials, this initiative represents hope, encouragement, and an investment in the future of these young learners. Together, we can make education more accessible, inspire a love for learning, and create lasting positive change in the lives of thousands of children.

Why are you raising the funds?

In 2024, we successfully distributed 205 backpacks to pupils at LEA Primary School Madalla, Niger State, providing young learners with essential tools to support their education. Building on that impact, in 2025 we expanded our outreach significantly, distributing over 355 backpacks and additional school supplies to children at Kofar Hausa Primary School Keffi, Nasarawa State. These initiatives have helped hundreds of children return to school with renewed confidence, dignity, and motivation to learn. This year, we are taking an even bigger step forward. Our goal is to merge outreach efforts across five different locations and scale our impact by distributing 500 backpacks, along with basic school supplies such as notebooks, writing materials, and learning essentials. Our planned outreach will cover three rural schools in Markudi, Benue State, one school in Akwanga- Nasarawa state, and one school within the FCT, focusing on underserved communities where many children lack the basic materials needed for quality education. Education remains one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty, yet many pupils in rural communities still attend school without bags or supplies. Through this initiative, we aim not only to provide materials but also to restore hope, encourage school attendance, and support academic success for thousands of children. To achieve this ambitious target, we need your support. Your partnership, sponsorship, or donation will directly help place learning tools into the hands of children who need them most. Together, we can empower young minds, strengthen communities, and create lasting educational impact.

What will the funds raised help achieve?

The funds raised will directly support the successful planning, procurement, and distribution of backpacks and essential school supplies to thousands of children across underserved communities. Our goal is to equip 500 pupils in three targeted locations with the basic learning materials they need to fully participate in school and improve their educational outcomes. First, the funds will be used to purchase high-quality backpacks and essential educational supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, mathematical sets, and other classroom necessities. Many children in rural communities attend school without these basic tools, which affects their confidence, participation, and academic performance. Second, the funding will cover logistics and transportation costs, ensuring materials are safely delivered to rural schools in Benue State, Jos, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Reaching remote communities often requires careful coordination, travel arrangements, and local partnerships to ensure efficient distribution. Third, resources will support community engagement and outreach activities, including coordination with school administrators, volunteers, and local leaders to organize transparent and impactful distribution events that promote school attendance and community involvement. Additionally, part of the funds will go toward program coordination, monitoring, and documentation, allowing us to measure impact, maintain accountability, and share reports with supporters and partners. Ultimately, the funds will help restore dignity, inspire learning, and reduce educational barriers for thousands of children. By providing these essential tools, we are not only supporting education today but also investing in a brighter future where every child has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
