Medical Support for Nigerians.

Every now and then, we come across people that need support to offset medical bills or for...
We are raising funds to support Baby Dajang Eliora, a 16-month-old child born with multiple congenital heart defects, including holes in the heart and abnormal blood vessel connections. These defects have led to severe strain on her heart and lungs and require urgent open-heart surgery for her to survive. Eliora has been medically assessed and accepted for treatment at MIOT Hospitals, Chennai, India, a specialist centre for paediatric cardiac surgery. The estimated total cost of her evaluation, surgery, hospital stay, and immediate post-operative care is USD $11,000, which covers investigations, surgery, intensive care, medications, and recovery. This fundraiser is strictly to cover medical expenses related to her life-saving heart surgery, including hospital care and essential treatment costs. All funds raised will be directed solely toward this purpose. Medical documentation and hospital cost estimates are available and will be shared transparently with donors.
Eliora’s condition is time-critical. Without surgery, her heart and lungs will continue to deteriorate, placing her at high risk of heart failure and early death. Her family has explored multiple options locally and through charities, but due to the complexity of her heart defects and the urgency of care, delays have made those routes unviable. The recommended surgery must be done soon to give her a real chance at life. The cost of treatment is far beyond what her family can afford. This is why we are turning to the public for help — to bridge the gap between medical possibility and financial reality. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings Eliora closer to surgery and survival. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign also makes a meaningful difference. This is a race against time, and your support could help save a child’s life.
The funds raised will be used to support every critical stage of Baby Eliora’s life-saving treatment. This includes comprehensive pre-operative cardiac evaluations, such as advanced heart imaging, blood tests, and specialist assessments required to safely plan her surgery. The funds will then cover the open-heart surgery itself, performed by a paediatric cardiac surgery team, as well as intensive care unit (ICU) support immediately after surgery, where close monitoring is essential for survival. Post-operative hospital care, medications, oxygen support, and follow-up investigations during recovery are also included. In addition, the funds will help cover hospital stay costs, basic attendant accommodation during the admission period, and essential medical consumables required during recovery. Successfully completing this treatment will correct the heart defects causing strain on Eliora’s heart and lungs, significantly improve her oxygen levels, reduce the risk of heart failure, and give her the chance to grow, develop, and live a normal childhood. Regular updates and documentation will be shared to ensure transparency and accountability to all donors.
