Every child has a dream or desire  for his or her life. So it can be heart wrenching when circumstances do not allow you to achieve that dream. If Toyin Adesola  our founder did not have the financial or moral support she so desired, after having faced over 100 hospital admissions, 20 blood transfusion, and 5 surgical ooperations, she would not have been where she is today. Watch her life changing story here

There are thousands of people with sickle cell like, some of them going through worse situations than our organization can provide for. We therefore need your help to be able to continue in providing help for the special kind of people who want to live life like any other.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

That’s why we need you to be a part of the N500 by 1m campaign. The N500 by 1m campaign is set up to encourage 1m Nigerians to donate N500( or equivelent) and more. Sickle Cell Advocacy aims to provide urgently needed medication, emotional and social care and life-saving surgeries through the monies we generate from the campaign. With your support of 500 or more, we will be able to provide even more support to improve the lives of those living with sickle cell in the country. Sickle Cell is no longer a death sentence, with proper care and management they can live a well fulfilled and purposeful life of which our founder Toyin Adesola (above)  who is over 50 living with the disorder is a testimony.

We have had tremendous support from some well-meaning Nigerians like Folusho Philips, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Philips Consulting, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Yinka Davies, Tope Jemerigbe,MD of DKK and Associates (who is a mother of a seven year old child living with sickle cell) and a host of others. But there’s only so much we can do.

So what is a N500 worth to you? A recharge card, suya, a cup of icecream, a smoothie or does it mean more by you saving a life? Your action could be the difference between improving the quality of life for people with sickle cell,or allowing them waste away inagonizing pain and frustration.

Why not join us in reducing the effects sickle cell disorder in the country

Success isn’t about how much money you make, it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives. ~ Michelle Obama
